Background

From an early age, Maureen had an interest in the law and planned to become an attorney. Consistently throughout her lifetime, she has advocated for those who need help and protection. While growing up, Maureen always cared for and respected seniors, whether they were family members, neighbors, or any other members of the older population that she encountered. She revered her elders and appreciated all of the things she learned from their wisdom and experience. The law gave Maureen the ability to merge her two passions of practicing law and caring for seniors into her destined career as an Elder Law Attorney.

Maureen is a Philadelphia native who earned her Bachelor's Degree (B.A., Politics) and Master's Degree (M.S., Criminal Justice) from St. Joseph's University. She later earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of the District of Columbia in Washington D.C. She began her career as an advocate for crime victims in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. While attending law school, she worked on state and federal legislation that included protection and advocacy for senior citizens.

Her education and experience laid the foundation for her desire to pursue a career in Elder Law. In addition to the knowledge required, Maureen's true compassion and sensitivity to the needs of seniors and their families allows her to provide the best service to her clients. She understands the challenges and feelings of being overwhelmed that seniors may encounter. Her caring and personal approach helps her clients navigate through those difficult situations.

Having practiced elder law for over 20 years, Maureen is knowledgeable, experienced and an expert in her chosen field. She is Certified Elder Law Attorney ("CELA") having been certified by the National Elder Law Foundation which is accredited by the American Bar Association and authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to certify elder law attorneys. Additionally, Maureen's expertise has been recognized by her peers with the distinction of "Super Lawyer".

She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys ("NAELA") and the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys ("PAELA"). Maureen is active in the Bucks County Bar Association, where she has served as a Board Member, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Maureen is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She focuses her practice in the Philadelphia region, including Bucks County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia, and other surrounding areas.
